In the colonies slaves were bought, sold, and traded a lot. When they were bought or traded the slaves
would be put straight to work
because the owners had little empathy.

The person that watched them would make sure they were constantly doing
hard
work
and they scarcely had time to eat and rest.

This person would be called an overseer he was very powerful.
and sometimes he did not treat the slaves justly
. The slaves often produced a diversity of cash crops
on the plantation such as cotton and tobacco
.

Small farmers
scarcely produced enough crops
and this was known as
subsistence farming.

Good effort!

Mr. Chase

People in the English colonies used technology such as boats to use for trading such as triangular trade it is called this because the routes the people used looked like a triangle.
